TZ Limited and Temando Announce First Adopter A.D.A.M. Retail Partners

  • -

TZ Limited (ASX:TZL) and Temando Pty Ltd have today announced the first adopter retail line-up that has begun using the Automated Delivery Asset Manager (A.D.A.M.) Parcel Locker Network to efficiently ship packages to their online customers., Tony Bianco, Glue Store and Pamper Hamper Gifts are the pioneers of e-commerce who have adopted the A.D.A.M. network as an alternative delivery option for consumers who prefer to receive parcels 24 hours a day in a secure, central location.

The A.D.A.M. Parcel Locker Network eliminates the hassle of missed deliveries due to shoppers not being home to accept packages when delivery attempts are made during working hours. Now, when a consumer goes online to order their goods from one of the aforementioned retailers, they will have an additional option to have their package delivered to an A.D.A.M locker. Temando’s unique patented algorithm applies ‘Spatial Mapping Logic’ to ensure each package is compatible with the A.D.A.M locker sizes and feeds all delivery information to the carrier for instant execution. TZ’s back-end Asset Manager system then ensures integration with the carriers services to ensure the delivery agent can deliver the parcel to the A.D.A.M. Locker, and send the customer a unique, secure QR code, alerting them that the parcel is ready for pick-up.

TZ’s back-end parcel and locker management platform compliments Temando’s extensive suite of eCommerce delivery options and drives real value to consumers and brands alike.

The first locker sites are now live and can be found at the MLC Centre in the Sydney CBD, Melbourne Central in the Melbourne CBD, 7 Eleven in Heidelberg VIC and BP in Richmond VIC. Additional locker sites are ready for deployment at a retail shopping centre in Chatswood NSW and at a CBD location in Brisbane. Each A.D.A.M. locker bank contains 49 lockers in various sizes.

“TZ has been working to find the right real estate, the right freight logistics and the right online retail partners to launch the A.D.A.M. Parcel Locker Network”, says TZ Executive Chairman Mark Bouris. “With, Tony Bianco, Glue Store and Pamper Hamper Gifts, we have found the accelerators of e-commerce who want to provide their customers with an optimum delivery experience. These organisations are listening to their customers and they see the opportunity that exists within online retail. They have recognised that our technology provides their customers with an end-to-end solution that matches the convenience of online shopping, and we are very proud to have them onboard as our early adopters.”

One of the main differentiating factors is Temando’s carrier agnostic system, which enables any courier or freight company to deliver parcels to A.D.A.M. Parcel Lockers. Fastway, TNT and Toll Group are initial users of the network and are either integrated or have interfaces with TZ’s platform. Temando has also been integral in introducing TZ’s technology to its innovative e-merchant customers.

“We work with over 30,000 clients who are all looking to provide the best possible customer experience to support their brand,” says Temando CEO Carl Hartmann. “We are living in a time when consumers want same day, same hour delivery, and they aren’t willing to accept anything less. We’ve built our business around that demand, and A.D.A.M. Parcel Lockers are one solution that helps us deliver what people want, when they want it, without having to wait.”

Securing easily accessible, 24/7 real estate has also been key for TZ, and partnerships with property owners like GPT Group (which owns MLC Centre and Melbourne Central), have been integral in building a distribution footprint that has been initiated with the first six locations across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. A larger deployment accessing more national locations including South and Western Australia and leveraging new partnerships like Secure Parking are in the pipeline for a late September/October launch.
